1/2" PABCO® Gypsum Ceiling Board is a gypsum panel designed for ceiling application where joist spacing is 24" o.c. PABCO® Gypsum Ceiling Board has a rigid core and when tested to the ASTM C 473 humidified deflection test performs equal to or better than the allowable deflection permitted for 5/8" thick panels.

PABCO® Gypsum Ceiling Board is available in 1/2" thickness, 4' wide by 12' long. Recessed edges available either as round or tapered allow joint tape and joint treatment to be applied to create a monolithic (flat) ceiling surface. PABCO® Gypsum Ceiling Board, with the exception of its rigid core, is similar to regular gypsum wallboard and is applied and finished in the same manner. This product is also suitable for use on interior walls and partitions

1/2" PABCO® Gypsum Ceiling Board or PABCO® FLAME CURB® wallboard applied perpendicular to ceiling framing spaced 24" o.c. is required by the International Residential Code (IRC) on ceiling applications to receive water-based texture material, either by hand or spray applied.
